I met poetry in 1987. It all started with a few love letters to my high school sweetheart. Soon the letters I wrote became poems. Every time I got the urge to write something, it had to be poetic. I have written poems and stories on such topics as love, broken hearted, good/bad times and loneliness.

I strive to be a versatile poet. And my body of work proves that I am well on my way. Everyone can relate to at least one of my poems/stories. Over the years my passion for writing has continued to grow. It's not over you see, 'cause I know I got more in me.

Inspiration is everywhere. Love is a big source of inspiration for me. During an open mic session, I was inspired to write,
"The Heart of A Lonely Man", a ditty about a lonely heart yearning for love. "When I Think of You" was inspired by a muse called, "Cynamon."

Other inspirations include Jill Scott, Smokey Robinson, Sade, Pattie Labelle, Prince and some poets from the Russell Simmons'
Def Poetry series. I'm also filled with inspiration from the incomparable, Maya Angelou and the profound speeches of the late, great, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Life itself is an immeasurable source of inspiration. If you act as a "receiver" in your life, you are certain to receive inspiration from somewhere, something or someone. In other words...
