MY SISTER/MY OASIS
When my cabinets r bare & I need something 2 eat
MY SISTER is always there n a heartbeat
We were not blessed with much wealth
But when I was ill MY SISTER nursed me back 2 health
She is MY OASIS n the middle of the desert
She is MY SISTER
Many times MY SISTER was mommy 2 me
Taking care of me, feeding me
And housing me when I had nowhere else 2 b
We had our ups & downs, lows & highs
We fought, laughed, & cried
Hot summers, cold winters, springs & falls
MY SISTER was there thru it all
When I had no heat
MY SISTER was my warmth
And when things got dark [like a blackout]
MY SISTER was my light at the end of the tunnel
She is MY OASIS n the middle of the desert
She is MY SISTER
