SOLITAIRE
As I,
walk up & down these deserted halls I,
realize just how lonely I am
As I,
stand on this mountain top & stare across the dark sky,
street lights twinkling, & full moon all a glow I,
realize it's just me, myself, & I
As I,
stretch out my arms n the middle of a dream,
slowly I awaken because it dawned on me,
the other side of the bed, is mpty
As I,
step out & get on my way,
I c couples ngaged n p. d. a.
It's not fair that,
I roam these streets alone
It's not fair that, the only hand I hold is my own
I njoy a romantic restaurant,
eating a full 3 course
So I,
call 4 reservations,
'Oh, hello. Do u...'
And the maitre d recognizes my voice
'The usual, sir?'
'Yes, table 4 1'
