I took on the role of poet in 1987. It all started with a few love letters to my high school sweetheart. Soon the letters
I wrote became poems. Every time I got the urge to write something, it had to be poetic. I've written poem/stories for
love and the broken-hearted; including the good times, the bad times and loneliness. I've performed live in San Diego, CA., Hollywood, CA., Los Angeles, CA., Antelope Valley, CA., Paris, France and London, UK.
Inspiration is everywhere. During an open mic night session, I was inspired to write, "The Heart of A Lonely Man."
"When I Think of You" was inspired by a dear friend of mine. Love is one of my biggest sources of inspiration.
Other inspirations include some performers on "Russell Simmons' Def Poetry", "Brave New Voices", Jill Scott,
Smokey Robinson, Patti LaBell, Sade and Prince.
I'm also filled with inspiration from Dr. Maya Angelou and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Life itself is an inspiration to me. If you act as a receiver in your life, you are certain to receive inspiration from someone, somewhere or something.
KEEP AN OPEN MIND AND INSPIRATION WILL COME TO YOU
